Privacy at xx808

In one breath

Audio you open here, and everything you make from it, stays on your device. There are no accounts and no cookies, page views are counted anonymously, and nothing about you is sold or handed to anyone.

Your recordings, notes and beats

Pick a file in any xx808 tool and your own browser reads and processes it. The audio, the detected notes, tempo and key, the beats you program and the files you export are never transmitted. A drum-machine share link stores the pattern after the “#” in the address — a part of the URL browsers keep to themselves rather than sending to a server.

What reaches the server

Pages are delivered by Cloudflare. As with any website, delivering them involves your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string and the paths you request. Cloudflare may hold that briefly in security logs to fend off abuse; we only look at it as totals (say, how often a page is requested) or when chasing an error.

Page-view counting

Visits are tallied by Cloudflare Web Analytics, a counter that works without cookies or names: it doesn’t fingerprint browsers, doesn’t follow anyone between websites and holds no personal data. Each page loads its small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends one anonymous ping to /cdn-cgi/rum — your audio and results are never part of it. There is no Google Analytics and there are no ad trackers.

Ads

xx808 shows no ads today. Should that ever change, this page changes first, and any ad partner relying on cookies would need your consent wherever the law asks for it.

Your browser’s cache

Your browser keeps copies of the site’s files — the transcription model included — so later visits load quicker. Clearing site data in your browser settings removes them. xx808 writes nothing else to your device.

Kids

Nothing on xx808 asks for a name, an email address or an account, so there is no route for personal details to reach us from anyone, children under 13 included.

Requests about your data

We hold no personal profile of you, so a request to see, fix or erase your data usually has nothing to act on. Questions under the GDPR, the CCPA or any other privacy law are still welcome at hello@xx808.com.

When this page is revised, the date at its head moves forward to match.
